Exploration Team

Mark is a geologist with over 40 years experience in metals and geothermal exploration in North, Central, and South America, Asia, and Europe.  He played a key role in discoveries of the Silicon/Merlin (Arthur) gold deposits in southern Nevada, the Long Canyon gold deposit in northeastern Nevada, the Gatsuurt gold deposit in Mongolia, and a number of blind geothermal systems in the Great Basin of the western US.  He holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Nevada, Reno, a MSc in Geological Engineering from the University of Arizona, a BSc in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and is a certified professional geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists.

Michael is an exploration geologist with over six years of experience in mineral exploration across the western US. His experience spans both greenfield and brownfield exploration in various precious metal and critical mineral systems, with a particular focus on epithermal exploration and target generation. Since joining Orogen, Michael has played an integral role in identifying and generating new project opportunities with our alliance partners in southwest Utah and Nevada. Michael holds an MSc in Geology from the University of Nevada Reno and a BSc in Geology from the University of California Los Angeles and is working towards his professional geologist licensure.

Warren is an exploration geologist with a background in mineral systems, orebody knowledge, and applied geochemistry. He joined Orogen in 2026 after completing an M.Sc. in Geological Sciences at the University of British Columbia's Mineral Deposit Research Unit, focused on copper porphyry-skarn exploration methods. He also holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) certification from the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists.

Marilyn has over 40 years of experience in the U.S. mineral industry, working with large and small exploration teams to help generate and advance exploration projects to producing mines. Her work has entailed data and land management utilizing GIS and various software. Currently, she evaluates land status in areas of interest and oversees claim filing for Orogen’s U.S. properties. Marilyn has a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Arkansas.
