Leadership Team

Paddy currently serves as President, CEO and Director of Orogen Royalties Inc. Paddy joined Orogen Royalties in 2020 as part of a merger between Renaissance Gold and Evrim Resources, where he served as co-founder and CEO since 2011. Paddy is an experienced public company executive, having spent over two decades in the management of mineral exploration companies. In his career, Paddy has a track record of creating shareholder value through exploration partnerships generated from early-stage base and precious metal opportunities in western Canada, United States, and Mexico.  Under Paddy's leadership, the Orogen team generates royalties and recuperates its investment through transactions with industry or joint venture partners on high‐quality exploration projects including the producing Ermitaño gold mine in Sonora, Mexico - (2.0% NSR) and the Silicon gold project in Nevada, U.S.A ‐ (1.0% NSR). Paddy holds an MBA in Executive Management, Consulting from Royal Roads University and a B.A. in Economics from Simon Fraser University.

As Chief Financial Officer of Orogen Royalties, Marc Tran provides financial and strategic leadership to support the company's growth and value creation objectives. A Chartered Professional Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, he has worked across all stages of the mining lifecycle, from exploration and development to production.

Marc has successfully led numerous M&A transactions, IPOs, and financing initiatives totaling more than $1 billion in aggregate value. His areas of expertise include capital markets, corporate governance, tax planning, financial reporting, controllership, and enterprise risk management. He is committed to disciplined execution, transparent leadership, and building high-performing teams that create lasting value for shareholders and stakeholders alike.

Marco joined Orogen in 2021 and brings nearly 20 years' experience as an analyst, fund manager, and executive in the metals and mining industry. He spent 11 years as an analyst and portfolio manager with Equinox Partners LP in New York, managing the firm’s investments in metals and mining, and evaluating exploration, development, production and royalty companies. He has also been a director and member of the audit committee for Orezone Gold Corporation and CEO of Adia Resources, a private diamond exploration company. Marco holds a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College.

Laurence Pryer is an exploration geologist with over a decade of experience in base and precious metal exploration, spanning grassroots discovery through advanced-stage project evaluation across a range of mineral systems and jurisdictions. Since joining Evrim Resources, Orogen's predecessor, Laurence has played an increasingly strategic role in technical evaluation, project generation and portfolio management.

At Orogen, he contributes to the identification, assessment, and advancement of exploration and royalty acquisition opportunities by integrating geological, geophysical, geochemical, and commercial considerations to support investment decisions and long-term portfolio growth. 

Laurence holds a PhD in Economic Geology from the University of Alberta and a Masters in Earth Sciences from the University of Cambridge. He is a Professional Geologist registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and serves as Orogen's Qualified Person.
